Coosawattee River Resort
The Recreation Center is the jewel of the Coosawattee River Resort and includes:
- An enclosed, heated Junior Olympic-sized pool with 8-feet at the deep end and a large shallow end for the small ones, it's comfortable swimming year-round.
- A heated kiddie pool is available for the very little ones where they can splash & play in shallow water.
- Off of the Recreation Center's lobby are the Fitness Center and Game Room. The Fitness Center is complete with treadmills, weight machines, free weights, rowing machines, and exercise bikes. Satellite TV and Wi-Fi are also available. The Game Room is a coin-operated arcade with games, pool tables, and an air hockey machine.
- The Recreation Center also has other outside attractions, which include tennis, basketball, and pickleball courts, plus an 18-hole miniature golf course. The equipment can be checked out at the Recreation Center desk.
- A large covered pavilion at the Recreation Center can be reserved for birthday parties.
- The game room, weight room, tennis court, basketball court, pickleball, and miniature 18-hole golf course are open until 8:30 pm.

Carters Lake for Fishing
Carters Lake, a short drive from the cabin, is one of the best BIG fish lakes in Georgia - the only lake in Georgia that you have a real chance at catching a 30 pound striper, 15 pound Hybrid and a six lb spotted bass in the same day along with the occasional Walleye!

Apple Season & Festivals
The Georgia Apple Festival is an annual festival in Ellijay, Georgia. The festival has been held every October since 1971 and offers handmade crafts, live music, and apples. An annual parade and antique car show are also held in conjunction with the festival.
River Recreation
The Cartecay, Coosawatte and Ellijay Rivers converge near Ellijay providing tubing, fishing, kayaking and canoeing opportunities and much more!
U-Pick Farms & Must-See Vineyards
Ellijay has lots to offer in the way of family farm fun! U-Pick apples and more at The Red Apple Barn and BJ Reese Orchards. Ellijay Mushrooms has a great farm store and you can see where they grow these famous mushrooms and Cress Creeks Farms offers a corn maze & pumpkin patch in the Fall plus a chance to pet the sheep and shop their local meats and other farm goods.

Tubing
The beautiful waters of the Cartecay River run through the mountains in and around the city of Ellijay, merging with the Ellijay River to form Coosawattee. Kids and adults alike will enjoy a tube or kayak trip down the river to lazily ride down in an tube, or fight the waves in a kayak, for a fun day on the water
